BIOGRAPHY
Born in Weida, Thuringia, in 1968, Carsten Fock is a renowned German artist whose work has been featured in numerous international exhibitions. After completing his training at the Werkbund Workshop in Nuremberg and studying under Per Kirkeby at the Städelschule in Frankfurt, he has been working as an independent artist since 2000. Over the years, he has lived and worked in cities such as Berlin, Los Angeles, Paris and Munich.
Fock's art is defined by its exploration of social and political issues, as shown in his work “every day is a day (of rebellion)”, which was presented at the Bundeskunsthalle Bonn in 2022. His most recent works include the cycle “Vinteren” (2023), which is in the collection of the Städtische Galerie im Lenbachhaus Munich.
